FAQ

    IP address leasing is a service that allows you to get a static IP address for use in your projects. A static IP address is a unique network identifier that is assigned to your server or device. This improves network identification, provides higher security, and allows you to perform tasks that require a permanent IP, such as setting up SSL certificates, organizing remote access, or managing network services.

    An additional IP address is rented to provide the site with special features:
    — protection against accidental blocking due to actions of neighboring resources;
    — protection against DDoS attacks targeting a public IP address;
    — setting up a mail service and mass mailing of letters;
    — setting up an FTP server to exchange files with the user without downloading them to his device;
    — access to a web resource by IP address.

    JustHost provides the opportunity to rent both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses. IPv4 is the most common IP address used by most network devices. IPv6 is a modern protocol with a larger number of addresses and better optimization for working in modern networks. The choice of IP address type depends on the requirements of your projects and the supported protocols on the side of client devices and programs.
